About us

Randy Kerdoon is the host, producer and sweeps the floors at the “Talking About Cars” building in Los Angeles!

While his real job is as the morning sports anchor at KNX 1070 Newsradio in Los Angeles, he has managed to weasel in some reporting on his real passion….classic cars!

“Talking About Cars” has been honored by the “International Society for Vehicle Preservation” (ISVP) with a “Best of Radio” AND a GOLD medal (for Talking About Cars 44 with Wayne Carini and our George Barris tribute) in 2015, a SILVER award for our “Best of 2016” podcast and a BRONZE for our “Best of 2016” video (which you can see here on our website).      Randy has also received 2 SILVER and a BRONZE award for separate car stories he reported for KNX.

“Talking About Cars” began in November of 2014.    While Randy was checking out a celebrity car racing event at Irwindale Speedway in California, the light went on above his head.    He took out his digital recorder and began interviewing the celebrities about THEIR passion: racing cars.    He found that they had some great car stories and thought the car community would get a kick out of hearing them.

Randy has also been honored for his broadcasting work with numerous Golden Mike awards, AP Mark Twain awards, L.A. Press Club awards and won a Los Angeles TV Emmy and was nominated for a second.

One fun fact : Randy’s college radio pal, “Weird Al” Yankovic, credits him for producing his first ever video, “My Bologna”.   It was done at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo for a TV production class. You can see it on You Tube.

Randy lives in a suburb of Los Angeles with his wife, Marta.   He has a daughter, Kelcie, (who dreams of someday owning a ’57 Chevy) and two step kids, Amy and Stan

Julian co-produced and directed our “Talking About Cars” video podcasts.    Julian and his company, “Web Video Vision” joined the “Talking About Cars” team in 2016, moving TAC into the big leagues with his video production skills and social media marketing knowledge.   Under his watchful eye, TAC began video versions of their celebrity and car personality interviews, adding a new and popular aspect to their previous success.    Now you can watch Julian’s great work on the show on the TAC Facebook, and YouTube pages, as well as right here on TalkingAboutCars.net!!

Julian, big Porsche fan, and his wife Erica live in Orange County, with their daughter.
