“Talking About Cars” began in November of 2014.    While Randy was checking out a celebrity car racing event at Irwindale Speedway in California, the light went on above his head.    He took out his digital recorder and began interviewing the celebrities about THEIR passion: getting behind the wheel or race cars.    He found that they had some great car stories and thought the car community would get a kick out of hearing them.

Randy is a former sports anchor at KFWB News 98, KNX, and at Fox 11 News (all in LA).    He has been honored for his broadcasting work with numerous Golden Mike awards, AP Mark Twain awards, L.A. Press Club awards and won a Los Angeles TV Emmy and was nominated for a second.

FUN FACT : Randy’s college radio pal, “Weird Al” Yankovic, credits him for producing his first ever video, “My Bologna”.   It was done at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo for a TV production class. You can see it on You Tube.

Randy lives in a suburb of Los Angeles with his wife, Marta.   He has two daughters, Kelcie, (who dreams of someday owning a ’57 Chevy) , and Amy who is quite the artist, designing our logo, and one son, Stanford, who has restored a ‘91 Mazda Miata to “daily driver” status
